Afeji Santé

On the 16th of March, as part of the Culture and Sports Week organized by the Urban Community of Dunkirk, France, Afeji Hauts-de-France organized a day of activities: “Afeji Santé” based around physical activities, prevention and health.
 
During the event, 150 persons, including people with intellectual disabilities, accompanied by 50 professionals took part in a course of activities on sports and health:

• Adapted physical activities and physical tests
• Workshops on eating habits
• Testing workshop of the tool “Trouve ton Parasport” (“Find your parasport”) made available by the French Paralympic and Sports Committee, an online platform to help people find sports that are adapted to their handicap.

During the event, Erasmus projects SportyMentor and ActivAbility were presented. This was a tremendous opportunity for the Afeji ActivAbility team to exchange with the project’s target groups: people with intellectual disabilities and professionals working with them.
